You're right of course but there is a difference between market rate and boutique specialty dealer prices. Besides with coins like that I am sure Doug has at least a dozen already engaged clients with similar want lists. Ill find something, I don't need to spend 15K today and there will always be more coins for sale than dollars chasing them.

Now if I was building a large set of 15k coins or going much bigger ($$$$$$) or real rarities, that is when I would think specialty dealers can really help even advanced collectors. Like the collector he placed the 61p Paquet Rev DE with, he doesn't get that coin without working with Doug.
