Saw this 1916D mercury dime sell on EBay not long ago. Did frame grabs of images. PCGS certification exists but no image associated. I'm new at this, but studied the 4 dies for 1916D and a lot of counterfeit images. To me, this one not only looks like a fake to me, but a really bad one. Disturbing if true and got into a legit slab? Is this really a $3 AG 1916 sold for $500+? Does PCGS not keep an image of all certifications?

pcgs does not photograph every coin.
Welcome to the forum!
Sometimes a sellers photos can change the look of a coin.
The slab and the coin look genuine to me.
Here is another one in the same grade with the same mint mark placement.
PCGS only takes pictures of coins when the submitter pays for the gold shield service.
