To cut, or not to cut - Campanella auto - Quick Opinion result

Last of my Dad’s autographs to send in for slabbing. Trying to decide whether to have slabbed as is or cut the left edge off diagonally to remove the blue bleed from the tape that was on the reverse. As you can tell it’s already a “cut auto”.

Which way do you think will look better on the slab?

Can you completely cut off the left wedge to make it a perfect rectangle? I don't know if you can do that and not hit the autograph, but if I'm gonna cut, that's how I would think of doing it.

Since it's already cut I would cut both sides to make it symmetrical.

That was my initial thought too.

I can get close to rectangle but not perfect. Perfect would touch the edge of the auto.

A bit off is prob good enough for the slab eye appeal though...

I’d cut as much of the blue out as I could, without going diagonal. I think rectangular is key.

Thanks guys. Here is the result after some work with a straight edge. I am tempted to cut part of the right edge to make it more even, but will probably not tempt fate.

Always scary cutting up something from 1950 but I think this will make for a better look in the slab.

Well, this is interesting. I made a high priced BIN auction in order to do a Quick Opinion. I included in the auction pics of my Dad’s other autographs of the same era / type / index card - that are all in PSA slabs. Nonetheless just got back the opinion Likely Not Genuine. !!! I even included the story in the auction wrote up etc.

Completely insane as my Dad got this Campy in person and he was rushing which is why it’s sloppy.

Any suggestions?
