How to prove a pedigree

Hello all, I recently bought a coin from Heritage Auctions that was sold as Ex Farouk Palace Collection, including details such as the Sotheby's 1954 lot number. It is currently in an NGC holder that does not have this pedigree. I was wondering if anyone has any experience submitting coins and having a history such as this included in the label pedigree? Is it as simple including a printout of the auction details? Id like to crack it out of the NGC holder and have it properly graded and pedigreed if possible. Thanks for your input!

Whoa there lil cowboy, that may prevent you from getting any kind of a pedigree.
Very good chance it would need to be submitted in the holder it is in.
Sorry I don't have a better answer for you as the best way to go about it.

You may have to get auction catalogs that have a picture of the coin.

Getting this done at this point in time would be a very painful wait with the speed things are moving. In the mean time gather all the evidence you can and deal with it when things get back to normal..... if they ever do.
