Larry BIrd Magic Johnson Topps Rookie

I noticed my Bird/Magic Topps rookie (shown above) and others on ebay have that little mark on the bottom right hand side. Are there any that dont have it or is this one of the reasons why it's an 8 and not higher?

    It's a crop mark for the cutting process. That card was a double print, so it was printed twice on a single sheet... one card has the chance of having it and the other doesn't. Sometimes the card with the mark is cut where it's centered low and the mark isn't visible, but if the card is cut correctly it will always be visible. You can get a 9 with the mark, but not a 10... I'd say centering is keeping yours from being higher than an 8.

    I have one graded 7 (BVG 8.5 corners/edges, 8 surface, 6.5 centering) with out that black mark. The ungraded one has just a hint of that black mark.
