The Matthew Stafford Train about to depart....,,buy your ticket now!

As a long suffering Lions fans, I am glad to see Stafford move on. He was never going to win here with the Ford family in charge. I think if he stays in the NFC, he will get to the Super Bowl. I've watched almost all of his games and he has all of the skills, the best QB I have ever seen on the Lions (I know that doesn't mean much).

I have a decent amount in Stafford RCs so yes I'm biased, but his cards really haven't moved that much over the past year. IMO they are a great value bet for next season. I know some fans think he is injury prone but from 2011-2020 season he only missed 8 games in 2019, he played in all 16 every other year.

being a lifelong cowboys fan i just can not get used to saying the washington football team. they are the redskins and will always be for me until they get a nickname.

From a hobby point of view, my top 3:

    1. San Francisco
    2. New Orleans
    3. Dallas

I know Dallas hasn't been mentioned in the media but Stafford is just now available. Despite the public words, I'm not sure a 78 year old owner wants to wait another year for Dak to get healthy, especially with a huge cap number. Stafford's cap hit for the team trading for him is $21m/year, Dak would be around mid-$30m. That is lot of extra money to put into the defense. Stafford is a home town boy as well.

I put SF and NO ahead of Dallas because they are closer to winning. I hope he doesn't go to the AFC with all of the young QBs.

I wouldn’t mind my Patriots getting him. I’d be OK with that.

    IMHO, Dak isn’t going anywhere.

    Stafford to the Colts.

Watson to the Jets for a kings ransom.

I don't think Stafford will go to NE since Patricia is there.

A wild card are the Rams, my adopted team. McVay and Goff hate each other and the Lions GM is a former Rams scouting director. Goff has that big contract but the Rams will each most of it if traded, there is no guaranteed salary after 2022. The only problem is that the Rams have no draft picks to offer, the Lions would have to believe Goff is the answer.

Another thing that Lions fans know is that his wife likes publicity. I could see her wanting to be in LA to be in a reality show.

Does he have a no trade clause? If not, he doesn’t have a say.

Check out this video of Stafford. He's one tough guy.

I would love to see him in Indianapolis!

Let me add, the Ford family won’t do it either. The NE experiment failed here so knowing how petty the Ford family is, I don’t see Stafford in NE. Old Lady Ford whacked Quinn and Patricia this season

I cannot express how happy I am that Stafford is coming to LA. I grew up in Detroit and am a Lions fans since I was a kid. Stafford was the first QB that actually gave me hope that the Lions could win. I moved to LA but I still follow the Lions as well as the Rams.

I spent a long time looking for this card and as some of you know I bought this raw off ebay and self subbed, still pop 1. I was planning to sell it to the new fan base (I thought Indy as well) once the deal was done. I guess that next fan is me! I get to keep it!

Big move by the Rams. The Lions will receive a third-round pick in 2021, a first-round pick in 2022 and a first-round pick in 2023. Been following the Rams since the late 70s and hope this means another run at a Super Bowl.

Stafford Rookie Cards are starting to blow up. There is a Contenders PSA 10 that is around $1500 with a few hours left. That was a $300-$400 card just this past week.

I have no dog in this race, but find myself really happy for Stafford. Seems like a good dude, who plays hurt, and now we get to see how great he is. Could be the Brady situation of 2021.

Good call! Any chance I could get the next Powerball/Mega Millions combos? ;)

Ha! The Rams didn’t have any 2021 draft picks available so I knew that the Lions had to like Goff to make it work. If you look at it from a qb draft point of view, Goff is better than anyone the Lions could have drafted at qb.

This board doesn’t need Adam Schefter, it has me 😁
