Has anyone ever re-subbed a card HOPING for a qualifier?

I bought this Ryan RC a couple of years ago and when I got it in hand, I was blown away with how clean the corners and edges were. I posted it here for some feedback and someone suggested that it was originally submitted with a 'NQ' request and it looked like it could possibly be an 8 OC.

Question: Considering how this card is blowing up right now, would it be worth my time/money to re-sub this card without a 'NQ' request and hope for an 8 OC?

    I general, collectors don’t like qualifiers and will treat them as 2 grades lower anyway. In this iconic card I assume it is the same.

    8 (OC) is around $1,300 (last ebay sale was 3 weeks ago).

    Straight 6 maybe $1,700 range.. if this card is exploding, who knows.

    I would leave it at a straight 6.
