After 17 seasons, Philip Rivers has decided to retire. He says "It's just time" and "It's just right." As for his future, he is going to coach high school football in Fairhope Alabama at St. Michael Catholic High School.

And take care of his 7? Children lol. He seems like a very good family man so I wish him well even though I never liked him, I don’t think he is HOF material either but that’s just me.

I think rivers seems like a good guy. i was never a fan though. i really disliked his throwing motion. he just looked so akward.

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

When I think of Rivers I think of him pouting on the sidelines next to Tomlinson’s after another playoff loss to the Pats 😂😂😂

I'll always remember his constant non-stop trash talking, and he could never get past Brady. He was Brady's personal hand puppet.

Decent QB. Never won anything and IMO not a HOFer.

never mind what the overall body of work might be, the new norm is apparently based on one thing that can be summed up by saying Philip Rivers "never won anything" so he should just be dismissed.

I am a fan of his. Afaik, good family man. His throwing motion was/is so odd. I am sure Chargers fans always knew, but a few years ago I just had to find out how he got that. Iirc. his Dad was a coach. When Philip was very young, he would be at practice with his father and he would watch practice while practicing the full sized football. The only way he could do it was to, as he does to this day, kind of grab it from one end and almost shot-put it. Over the years, he just developed that motion. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

I must admit, Philip Rivers is a great family man, and he never cussed when he talked trash. He seems like the kind of guy that would never tell a lie. Or has he told a lie before? I'm sure if we do some serious digging, we can uncover a lie somewhere in his history. Has someone been a bad boy, has someone been telling fibs?

In case anyone missed this story, when the Chargers moved to LA , he didn't want to relocate the family. So he settled on commuting a couple hours and buying an SUV he can really work in. Interesting story. Very nice ride. @doubledragon could work all day in this thing while he "travels".

Oh mama! Philip Rivers is ridin' in style! Let's get this thing out here for everyone to see. I can only dream of such a vehicle. If I had an SUV like this, I could post on the forum while cruising down the road!

If I had an SUV like that, I would be stylin' and profilin'.
