Tacit Rules Of The Boards; Courtesies, Etc.

1. I always thought a "PM" meant "private" message. Or, does PM mean "public message" nowadays? I can tell you this, I would never even dream of posting a member's PM to me absent extraordinary circumstances (e.g. a felony was going to be committed or was committed, etc). Am I the only one that feels this way, because if I am, please do not PM me and expect to be written back. The world is on notice with this thread that my PM's are prohibited from being posted without my permission. If you do not like that term, then DO NOT WRITE TO ME.
2. Deals gone bad. There is no place for them on these boards. I have had numerous board members back out of deals to buy and sell coins to me. I could post a long thread describing these transactions, but what for? Those are private deals. Blacklists - this went out of fashion in the 1950's if I am not mistaken.
Anyone disagree with these first two rules? Anyone want to list other courtesies we all should expect from each other? Wondercoin.

I agree with you other than the one potential buyer did state he would post publicly the PM's and the responder pretty much told him to do whatever he felt he needed to.
I would not intentionally post someone's PM without their knowledge.

Pat: I won't comment on my buys, sells and "brokering" of coins on the public boards. But, have I ever not answered your questions via PM? This is the point of my thread. I believe personal business should be discussed via PM. Wondercoin

I was just playing with you.
Yes- for the most part, you are pretty good about responding to PMs- well other than my last regarding that 1965 MS66!!
and it sets us apart from practitioners and consultants. Gregor
One other thought. Auctions should go to the BS&T board. I have no problems with pop 1 coins being offered here as they are special. However the recent mass selling of mediocre slabs is over the line as far as I am concerned.
For example, IMHO None of the Merc collectors who regularly post here would be interested in the 20 coins being offered.
Comments (Merc guys tell me if I am wrong)
"Intelligent people talk about ideas"
"average people talk about things"
"and small people talk about other people"......
PMs are just that...... "Personal messages"......
"Because I can"

PM sent!!
Right on. There is no place to share a PM (personal, by definition) in the oublic forums without the express permission of the sender.
NOTE: No trees were killed in the sending of this message. However, a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.
