Does anyone collect copper rounds?

I was looking online at some private mint copper rounds. Some have nice designs. I saw this guy on YouTube that has a collection of them. Since these can be bought at $2.70 each for the most part I might buy a few. Does anyone collect these? I know they won’t go up in value but they look like they’d be fun to collect. Are there any cons to these? Do they get red spotting ?

I don't waste my time. I guess it is fun for those on a tight budget.
I only see issues with storage over time.

Ditto. I have a few with a rattlesnake on them.

You mean like moisture getting on the rounds or just running out of space to keep them in?

I guess both. I stopped buying silver since I was running out of space. Switched to gold instead and may convert some silver to gold. I can't imagine stacking copper as an investment. Personally, I'd be very cautious about buying above melt.

I've seen several copper sellers at local shows. They apparently do quite well, everyone has a few bucks to buy something. Better than going home empty handed.

That’s true ! Even if it is more than melt it’s still cheap for people to buy one or two

Copper is way up right now (around $3.60/lb). I’d think there’s more value on the art than the round, right?
    Easy to scrap, I suppose.
Everyone should buy more cooper, though. And don’t say I’m biased just because I work at a copper mine and want a bigger bonus.
