eBay seller question regarding PayPal change

So usually I utilize my PayPal to keep the money from my sold cards to simply buy more with that balance so that I don’t have to dip into my own bank account. My question is if eBay offers to hold the money from sold items like PayPal did? I tried reading but it was unclear to me if a sold item amount has to be put into our banks now, or if we can simply keep that money in eBay to utilize as our credit or dump into our account as we please. Any clarification on this would be great - thank you !

What I do, is when my ebay payout hits my bank, I immediately fund my paypal account. I pay with my CC for every ebay purchase due to my rewards from it, so nothing changes in terms of cost

IT IS ALWAYS CHEAPER TO NOT SELL ON EBAY

Ebay does not hold it like paypal so it's there whenever you want it. They hold it for a few days to make sure you have funds to cover returns and then release it to your bank.

"hold" is a relative term. if you mean, to have it sit there so you can respend it like you could w paypal, the answer is no.

but it will be held. how long depends on your history, monetary levels and banking institution. initial hold will be weeks to begin with, then a week, then 5 days. then bottoming out at about 3 days.

I still use PayPal. I removed my bank information from eBay. Everything works fine.

    what's your ebay id again?

  • Thanks. So it looks like my best
Option is must move funds to PayPal from my bank (you can still pay with PayPal) after each sale to keep a balance there to pay with.
