Serious collectors over the past ten years versus serious dealers who deal in wax and mid to high grade superstars only. Who wins ?

this guy ALWAYS wins
Dealers because they sold. Collectors don’t make anything because they never part with what they love. Paper gains are not making money - as they can be followed by paper losses.
And dealers don't buy and hold. Dealers buy with the intent to sell quickly so they can have a bit more cash and be able to buy even more, so that they can then sell and have even more cash so they can repeat the process.
Take Steve at BBCE for example. Someone on here one time asked if he would be better off had he never sold, if he had just held on to his inventory until right now. And the answer is no, because when Steve began his business, he began with no inventory, or very little inventory. BBCE is where it is today because they have repeatedly bought and sold. During that repetitive process, Steve has gained the reputation of being the best in the business which just increased the buy and sell process. More buyers now come to him and so do more sellers.
