Well let's see:

I have 500 (plus a few, but just to have a nice round number to work with) commons/minor stars, although looking through them I found a few cards that seemed like they would book more, so minimum $100 BV (500 x $.20 each) there.

a Nolan Ryan 3X ($4 BV) 4 Barry Bonds (BV $3 each), a Ripken Jr. (BV $3), a John Smoltz RC ($2), 2 Sandy Alomar Jr. RCs ($1 each), a Tony Gwynn ($1.50), and about 10 other cards that are 50 cents-$1 each (besides the ones that certainly lurk in the commons pile) so let's just say a flat $25 for all of that.

So depending on what you have to offer I'd like around $100-$120 in trade value. I'd preferably like one to a few nice cards; if you have something I really want I might go a little under $100.

yeah, i want all the 1989 upper deck cards.

$120 bv for set minus $80 for griffey equals $40.

$40 minus $15 for johnson equals $25.

no one pays/trades for full book for commons.

So do you want about $25 in trade (will give 2 or 3 cards that total to $25) or I can give you 400 cards that are all worth $80+ and will add another 200 for the heck of it.

He is slow. If he had half a brain he would just spend the ~ $130 it takes to buy a sealed factory set of 89' Upper Deck.

Then again most 14 year olds don't have $130 to spend on cards.

Well, you're right that nobody pays full book for a group of commons, but considering that the star cards that I have book for over $25 by themselves, and considering I have to ship all the cards (at least $5-6), your offer is a touch low. No offense meant, but do you want to break a $350 box and want to have somebody offer $25 in trade for virtually all of the cards (to be honest, I got the box at an almost-literal steal, and I did get one Griffey, but still...)?

New offer: $50 trade, $30 in legal tender, or find somebody else that would go lower and we could have a reverse-bidding war... of course, I don't think you'll be finding that third party anytime soon

$30 cash, delivery included. 3 or 4 cards that go to $40 (or $45 since I am shipping ) sounds ok, again depending on the cards. Cash/Paypal would have your cards arriving in a hurry
