The Cheap Slab Store

CoinHoarderCoinHoarder Posts: 2,618 ✭✭✭✭✭

For many years, I purchased coins from The Cheap Slab Store. I found it a great site to carefully select nice coins, at reasonable prices.

Unfortunately, last September the site closed down due to the passing of it’s owner.

Did anybody else use The Cheap Slab Store as a source for coin purchases?

I bought a couple coins from them but it was a few years ago. They were good coins.

Years ago I bought all the good error coins on their site.

Sorry to hear the sad news. I believe that it was a 2 brother operation?

I have bought a few over the years. Never had an issue, sad to hear about the passing of it's owner.

Yeah, I purchased lots of coins from them, especially in the early months the site opened. The early stuff was really nice and ... cheap. Later, the selection was much slimmer and the prices not as ... cheap. It was still a good resource for inexpensive certified coins.

No ... you didn't. You bought the good ones that were left. >:)

    LOL, nice one.

I cleaned them out like 18 years ago.

Sorry to hear of the owner. Never heard of them prior to you posting. I wish I did know their store. Many GREAT deals I'm sure? Show us some examples. :)

Sorry to hear of the news - appreciate the update. Bought a few samples over the years but nothing major.
