eBay international standard delivery VS eBay global shipping

Any one knows the difference between these two services on eBay? I kind of know global shipping . I just tried the global shipping and it did not work. A buyer offer me $1500 for a coin and I accepted it but later the buyer asked to cancel it because eBay will charge customs fee on it. The buyer said it is too much fee to be charged.

It looks like both services do provide protection for losing the mail in transit but I just don't know exactly how eBay international stand delivery works.
eBay doesn't charge customs fees. The country where the buyer lives does. He wants the seller (you, in this case) to lie for him so he can save a little money.
edited to add... The method of shipping is irrelevant to customs fees due.
