Which year?
Nevermind. I'm just being obtuse or lazy. 2018.
everyone throwing around their government cheese ? I also think people are trying to be "ahead of the game", but in turn just feed the frenzy.
Collecting:
post world war II HOF rookie
76 topps gem mint 10 commons 9 stars
Arenado purple refractors(Rockies) Red (Cardinals)
successful deals with Keevan, Grote15, 1954, mbogoman
i think you are dead on.
speaking of which, i have a feeling a lot of people are gonna lose their shirts on tiger rookies in the next month or so. everyone thinks the hbo doc is going to be reminiscent of jordan's last dance doc and what it did for his cards. only problem is, last dance ran for a good month. plenty of time to build and maintain hype. tiger's is simply a 2 part doc.
everyone had the same, great idea..."lets snatch up the '01 ud now, then we'll list them right before the doc premieres and bank". i have a feeling a huge influx of cards are gonna be listed resulting in a huge undercutting scenario. not right off the rip, but probably right before the second part airs. the time to have bought was months ago, the time to safely exit is probably now as well. pigs eat, hogs get....
Amen. The prices on boxes of what is basically golf junk wax are insane. A year ago, you could have stocked up on Tiger base dimes for $20-30/ea (probably a bit undervalued then). HBO vs ESPN is going to be a much lower viewership also.
I do not get the pricing on cards with pops in a 10 of 14,901 rising so quickly. Maybe because I sold the 10 or so I had for $75ish. Just like I don’t get the base prizm craze either. I have a few cards of Soto I have kept (I have an 2018 Topps Pro Debut Red /10 in grading) and I am buying a few others. 2018 Topps Update is as plentiful as a lot of the junk wax years
base 10s are base-iclly stocks in the stock market for the younger crowd. when they need some cash, they'll sell a few off. when they sold a chunk for profit, they'll "invest" in the next guy. rinse wash repeat. i don't get it either, but they can certainly have at mine.
dub-ya-tee-eff?
$15,000 for a red rookie debut...
$9,000 earlier in the day for another one...
$20,000.for an optic logoless holo /50...
$30k? getting absurd. and i'm rooting for the guy.
