EBay charges me to ship when I don't use them?

Anyone else have this experience? I ship all cards UPS Next Day w tracking and signature delivery...but eBay still charges me a dollar?? For what??

I believe that is their cut of the amount you charge for shipping. They take a percentage of not only the final auction amount, but also a cut of the shipping charged. What do you charge for shipping? It would appear it was the same amount for those two items.

If you charge just enough to cover the cost of postage, once ebay takes their cut, you lose money, so you actually have to up your s/h fee to cover their cut as well. I think that is the most ridiculous thing ever, but I also think it was partially because people were doing weird stuff, like offering cards at really low BIN prices with ridiculous shipping charges to circumvent fees. This is ebay's way to ensure they get their cut of your sale, no matter the end price.
