Sirius Sports Auctions

I could not reach Sirius Sports Auctions web site over the weekend or today. Is any body else having problems with their site?

They are caught up in the ransomware issue that's plaguing the tool behind many auction houses.

There are 5 or 6 auction houses that I have saved that have sites down right now because of the ransomware attack

  • I wonder if that is also interrupting their shipping as I am waiting much longer for some cards than I would normally?

I would think so as they can't access their site to see who the buyers were or get their shipping info

They sent me a email saying that the website is down but should be up tomorrow. With that they will extend the auction to meet the downtime.

Are these guys a joke? There latest auction was supposed to end at 11:00 last night and begin the extended bidding period. It is now 6:17 PM the next day and on and on it goes. When I try to send them a message on their web site it fails every time. When you call them you get "mailbox full". This could last another week.

They had issues with their site last night so they extended the auction. This has been happening a lot in the last couple months with several auction sites. They all use Simple Auctions to host their sites.

Yes but it is now over 9 1/2 hours of extended bidding with no send in sight. As long as one new bid gets entered on one of the 2,400+ lots all of the auctions continue on. That is beyond logical or reasonable.

Agree. Had the auction ended last night when it was supposed to I could have gotten 2 cards way under eBay prices. Since it extended all the way through Friday night I had to pay more because people were still bidding. It was still a reasonable price but it could have been better. The issue is fixed now and I have already gotten my invoice so for those that bid on items you should be able to get into the site and pay now.

That's how sirius runs their auction end game. If you don't like it, maybe don't bid with them?
