OMG.
Even though my set still needs 1 coin, PCGS apparently recognized that the 1565-1571 Scotland Ryal (30-Shillings) set is so crazy difficult that it was nonetheless given a Gold Set Registry Award for 2020.
Thank you PCGS.
It has taken me 18 years to find 7 of the 8 coins that are needed, and the combined total number of coins that PCGS has graded for all 8 dates and types is just 31.
Here's a link if you'd like to take a look at the set and some photos:

When in doubt, don't.

I can't even imagine trying a set this tough. Can you find the few coins out there graded higher to have top pops across the board? Wouldn't that be cool. Congrats!
What a great journey!

Thank you so much everyone for your kind comments!
I have to believe there is a 1568 out there with my name on it. My hope is that it isn't museum quality, so I can sort of afford it.
Outstanding, @DennisH

Some museums have some pretty ratty coins in them, especially from days of yore, so maybe you'll end up with a museum quality piece, after all.
Congrats again, Dennis! It's nice to see that PCGS took went spelunking into the dark corners of the registry to find the only Scotland set and then say, "Damn! Getting to 7/8 on this set is a heck of an achievement!" I wonder if the award will help a coin find you.
