I look forward to Banty Red Christmas auctions every year, and they have some awesome cards up for auction right now on eBay. Let's just have a look at some of the cards they have available this year.

Hi dd, first of all, happy holidays!
To each their own, but these don’t really do it for me. I’m also curious how they get away with using the logos since, as far as I know, they’re unlicensed. Maybe I’m wrong.

Happy holidays to you DBesse! I actually love the look of these cards, and I couldn't tell you anything about licenses or anything like that. I just enjoy the cards.
Yogi Berra.
Oh yeah, let's get Floyd Patterson in here. I love him, his battles with Ingemar Johansson were vicious wars! Damn I love the red and black trunks!
Mean Joe Greene was a beast! I love the 48 Leaf style.
Roberto Clemente.
Yeah, that Floyd Patterson is calling my name. I just might have to jump in on that auction.
Mickey Mantle. I can see that we have a bit of a bidding war going on for this one.
Bobby Hull.
Jackie Robinson. I love the image of him in the suit.
Beautiful Rocky Marciano.
Maury Wills.
Walt Frazier.
Denny McLain.
Cecil Isbell. I love the image on this! It's so life like, it looks like you're at the game.
Al Kaline. That Stan Musial Baseball game back is awesome!
I love this Mickey Mantle.
Phil does nice work. I just wonder how he uses the old Topps designs with no legal implications?
Good stuff.
Yes, he does beautiful work! Next up, Satchel Paige.
Don Mattingly. That's a beauty!
Duke Snider.
Wilt Chamberlain.
Jerry West was a true basketball genius, I love watching old footage of him destroy the competition with his prolific scoring. He looks awesome on this 57' Topps design.
A young Billy Martin!
Happy Holidays everyone.
Merry Christmas

Joe Frazier. He had a vicious left hook, I remember when he flattened Bob Foster with that left hook.
Chuck Bednarik. This guy delivered bone crushing hits, his nickname was "Concrete Charlie". He damn near killed Frank Gifford he hit him so hard.
Robin Yount.
Bronko Nagurski. This man was an absolute beast, who would stop at nothing to win. In 1943, he led the Bears to a championship despite having worn out knees, multiple cracked ribs, and a broken bone in his lower back.
Jake LaMotta. This guy is a legend, his nickname was "The Raging Bull" because he would just keep going after his opponents relentlessly, charging after them like a raging bull. He fought angry and viciously, and wasn't afraid to get bloody. He was totally fearless.
So, some guy makes these cards and people buy them?.............what am I missing?
So you mean the athletes or their heirs get nothing from the use of heir likenesses?
