I thought the holder in the first picture looked suspiciously like a slab.
Why the games? You knew it was an error.
No, no games.
I am wondering what the stripping and/or pattern is on the reverse. This one appears to have been struck through cloth or whatnot. The insert doesn't give any indication it was though. Looking for subjective opinions here.
Are you sure the stripes are three dimensional? They go into and across the delamination. It's hard to imagine a struck through pattern that impacts the area under a lamination like that.

Perhaps. I find it odd how strong this pattern looks (over the O in ONE in particular) yet is also visible next to the rim at 7:00
Holy cow! I do see those lines! I really thought it was on the cent and that, coupled with the missing letters, meant this one was more special than it turns out to be.
Last question: What value would you place on this cent?

Probably an error but should post pics of both sides.
Appears to be a lamination.
If it was hit, there will be a flat spot directly opposite that area. That's why a pic of both sides helps
Here's the best photo of the obverse I could locate:

The lines are in the plastic on the holder.![;) ;)](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)
For reals?
What about the missing letters?
The weak or missing letters are a strike problem.
You can see the same lines in this ANACS holder on the buffalos head.

$15 - $35
If it was a red unc it would be quite a bit more.
Thanks.
