Big Lots? More like Big Love! There is hope for retail pack hunters.....

I was slumming at the local Big Lots looking for cheap gifts for my co-workers when I came across these beauties in the wild. There were 29 of them in the herd. I could see 4 distinct species. I lurked around the corner and slowly grabbed all of the packs as to not attract any attention.

Ironically I found an empty Whitmans Sampler shelf display and placed the packs in the box as to not draw attention to them.

I pulled out my $15 off $75 coupon and double stacked it with a 15% off the entire purchase coupon. It was a good hunt. In the end I found the following:

x6 2020 Absolute FB
x9 2020 Donruss FB
x9 2020 Prestige FB
x5 2020 Score FB

BTW - Before anyone calls me a hoarder, first I haven't seen packs at retail all year so I got excited. Second, I left all of the 2019 and 2020 Topps baseball packs for you guys. Merry Christmas!

    i have heard big lots has cards off and on. congrats!

    George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

    In the front of the store they have a cheap toy display that has mystery boxes and small plush. I saw the packs in that display. That is the only spot I have seen them.

    I have no scientific basis for this but the packs tend to show up towards the middle-end of the season. They had a few 2019 and 2020 Topps baseball blister 2-packs, actually like a dozen each.

    Very nice find. I understand that those who hustle get rewarded but I do miss the days when it wasn't so hard.

    First up 2020 Score. I have 5 packs with 40 cards each. Lots of trash inserts. Got a few decent rookies. If I were to see these again, I would pass. It's hard to believe that the first issue of Score football is so revered in our hobby and modern Score football is such trash. The cards feel so cheap.

    I have time for one more rip - 2020 Absolute Football. I have 6 packs with 20 cards each. This was a fun rip. The stars and rookies are printed on different stock. I pulled some decent rookies, no Herbert or Burrow yet.
