Need help figuring out if this is an error coin?

Can anyone help me find out if this is an error coin or if someone did this purposefully?

    Your coin did not leave the mint like that. It was damaged in circulation. It's not an error

    This is called PMD, post mint damage of unknown origin. Hang around a Wawa parking lot to find them. Peace Roy

    look at that raised metal around the gouge on the schoolhouse roof.

    that's a gouge up and not a hole from a minting defect that would leave it stamped flat there.
