My first pack order....the good, the bad, and the ugly

ndleondleo Posts: 4,136 ✭✭✭✭✭

OK. Here it is. Lots of drama, I laughed, I cried, and in the end it turned out pretty good. I have the source of each pack listed next to each pack. The 1984/1985 football cellos came from one seller on the BST board. I assume N5 means resealed? The seller has been on the board a long time and I don't think he knew the packs were resealed. As always, the BBCE packs did great

I haven't opened the box yet, I'll post pics of the highlights..

Good luck. You have some potential big hitters in that batch.

Good luck! I've had a pack sub in the Assembly stage for over a month so it may take a bit longer.

Good luck. My first pack order has been sitting in phase 3 since 5/27/20. 2020 poppage looking unlikely. I’m hoping to just get to phase 4 to see what they created specs for.

I was surprised how fast the grading process went. It moved to the grading stage and was moved to assembly in less than a week. My card orders stay in grading for a long time.

  • Mike, I wish you luck with the the packs. I have a pack order that has now been in the assembly stage for about 5 weeks now.

Thanks everyone. At least I did something new under COVID. I never thought about grading packs until I was trapped in my house for 9 months.

boy, Steve was good to you with all of those stars on top of cello packs...or did you buy some boxes from the group rips and those star packs came from those boxes?

I do spend my fair share at BBCE, but I wasn't that lucky. I think the majority of the cellos came from a BST buy.

The 1993 SP and all of the football wax came from BBCE board breaks. The 2003 Topps Chrome BKB and the 1975 Topps Football Cello are packs that I bought at local hobby stores in Detroit.

I need to submit my 2003 topps chrome basketball pack. I'm fairly certain it came from the same break so it obviously should get the same grade :D

Did you send at the lowest pricing level? Any upcharges after the fact?

    Excellent results - congrats!

I submitted at the base level last summer. No upcharges. Here are some pics.
