1989 St. Vincent Stamp Ken Griffey Jr. PSE 100

So I bought this on eBay last week thinking it was cool and I still think it is but the OCD in me is not happy with the crooked label and the hack job on the black insert! I see PSA grades these so I guess the question is can I send it to PSA for reholdering or do I send it in as a crossover? PSE holders are exactly the same as PSA and are part of the umbrella..

Is PSE the stamp grading arm of PSA? I’ve never heard of it. If so that’s good to know.

Does PSA grade postage? That would answer my question. Reholder if it is likely to get an N9 if you were to try to cross it.

This isn't actually postage just some collectible for a charitable organization. Probably some sort of fund raising? They have the "Earthquake Relief" ones of this Stamp that are very difficult and a series two Stamp. PSA grades them but I just want to send in as a reholder/crossover instead of cracking and subbing..

The holders may be the same, but are you sure that's PSA?

The "arrowhead" holder was invented by Alan Hager of ASA and other grading companies could buy them from him.

I would try to call or email PSA before sending in.

    VERY cool item!!!!

jackstraw IMO you got a good deal on that rookie stamp. PSE is the stamp authenticating/grading branch of Collectors Universe. daltx I have seen PSA grade some postage. Griffey Jr., Nolan Ryan to name a couple because I collect those two players.
jackstraw, you bring up an interesting question that I personally cannot answer whether or not PSA would just relabel it a PSA 10. I would have to think your circumstance is very unusual and as suggested above you should contact them for direction.
As far as I am aware the island of Saint Vincent produced stamps for quite a while. Not just baseball players but many other subjects. I believe they were legal stamps there. The 1989 Rookie stamps Earthquake relief with a 10cent overlay were available as a way to collect funds for the victims of the 1989 California earthquake.
Here are all three 1989 Griffey Jr. stamps PSA graded I own. The earthquake relief ones are fairly difficult to locate and the U.S. Baseball Series II pretty difficult also. The BB series II ones are toughest for grading as there are no PSA 10's and only 3 PSA 9's.
