Authentic PSA?

Hey All,

What is your opinion of this PSA graded card? The label looks wrong to me. This looks like it should be a gen 10 flip but the fonts on the front look wrong and I don't see the PSA watermark...

What's causing me to hesitate is that it seems like a lot of work to go through for a relatively inexpensive card.

I’m no expert but I’m guessing the photo is just washed out or this dual label doesn’t have the watermark. The Cert is valid and matches the pics of the last couple sales (https://www.psacard.com/cert/28525463), and there’s enough of a hint of the small “PSA” symbols around the large PSA on the back that it looks like the lighting wasn’t good enough to capture the watermark if it’s there at all. It’s pretty close to the sample here (https://www.psacard.com/services/dualgrading), and the watermark isn’t visible in the video...

Not too helpful, but I was curious enough to look into it for my own knowledge and figured I’d share.

    Jim

Thanks Jim. I appreciate the perspective.

I dont see anything wrong with this label at all. fonts look just fine, the fugitive ink PSA pattern on the front is very faint (as it should be) and sometimes can't be captured in photographs properly. the 6 small PSA logos on the back are present as they should and the QR code is encoded properly and brings you to the cert verification for the card.

here is a high res scan of one of my cards. you can see the fugitive ink pattern to some extent. but can also figure that in a picture like the one above, given the lighting and angle, could easily wash it out and make it blend into the white background.

@canyoubelieveit good advice here. It looks legit to me. If you want further info on label history the cases themselves, see the label history guide in my signature.

The fonts still look funny even compared to that high res Dwayne Wade. Maybe the ink was running low that day. I found a good review of the label history that I have been using but I'll check yours out too.

Also I realize it isn't uncommon to have a hard time making out the watermark but usually you can detect something there. I just don't see any hint of it.

    Thanks everyone for the feedback!

If you find a more complete review of the label history than what I have, please tell me where you are looking. I could always use another resource.

Yours is excellent. I was previously looking at https://allvintagecards.com/history-of-psa-flips/. I am still reading through yours but I love the detail you have in there on some of the finer points.

Thanks. The info at that website looks like a summary of sorts of my guide. We may have used similar sources.
