card not in the data base yet

Sorry All,

I'm new here and just sent my first order in today. I was wondering what we do if the card isn't in the system yet when I want to add it. I have no problem waiting but if there is a way that they would add it if i mentioned it to them?

What do you mean? Do you mean the population report? The card won’t be entered into the population report until it’s been assigned a grade. Not sure if that’s what you were getting at.

  • You know when you are putting in the players that you want to send off to psa for grading? it's not in that menu.

    thanks for the response

Oohhh. That’s ok. You just type in the info and they’ll grade it. After they’ve graded one copy it will be in the database from then on.

    Welcome to the boards!

Please give out more information and a scan when asking questions. It makes it much easier to get the correct answer.

If it's not a card that is recognized by PSA, they might not grade it.

if it's a modern low numbered card, simply find another one in the set and follow that format.

it will help it process thru research and development much faster. you CAN type it in your own words and it will get graded, but following the in-system format seems to make it fly thru quicker.

    and welcome aboard.

I always do what blurryface said, find another card from the set and use the same formatting to manually type the card in. if its something less common or oddball or you want to make sure you get it right, you can use the research request form in your PSA accounts customer request center online. this will have them research the card ahead of time and usually within days, provide you with an email response with the results and spec number for the item you are submitting. usually a day or so after that, the item will auto populate in the card entry field once their system updates with it.
