cherrypicked myself kinda sorta

Going through a bullion lot I bought months ago and what I thought was a thruppence was an east india company 1841 2 anna . VF or so at least

Looked it up in an older krause and became confused . Not a lot of info but apparently there were several mints and coins were struck with that date over a span of years and they mention later restrikes as well .

Anyone have any links where I can read more about what was going on with these ?

    From the Numista link below

    To identify mint
W.W. raised on truncation - Calcutta mint
.W. W raised on truncation - Bombay mint (note postion of periods before & between letters)
    S (incuse) . W. W raised - Madras mint

    Thanks for the link !

i can only see one W but I see a dot at the end . so I'm thinking Bombay?

There is no way I could photograph this coin let alone the initials I needed a 30x lens plus my reading glasses just to see the W :(

using a 30x through spectacles is super frustrating

i'm thinking 460.3 ? although 459.1 might work the wreath looks wrong on the 459. 1
