I was wondering why this one hasn’t sold as the price is below market. Then I looked at the shipping cost. Not very sportsmanlike.

I don't see how Ebay doesn't somehow flag things like this. They flag all kinds of merchandise that they deem unauthentic, etc. High or ridiculous shipping charges are one thing...this is absolutely insane!
So to sum up this seller, he wants 1k for the card + 24k for shipping but in some passive aggressive manner he explains he accepts best offers. Then he tries to convince people to trust in his consignment skills even though he has a total of just eleven previous ebay sales with the most expensive card sold being this exact same card & cert number he sold two months ago. The most scary thing of all is the USPS raised his shipping rates from 15k to 24k over the past 60 days.

I don't why he would do this. Doesn't make any sense at all. I guess maybe he is just looking for people to click on his auction, but obviously, only a select few people are financially in the market for this.

This is like a $2500 card. All it takes is one person to submit and offer for $900, have it accepted, then pay right away. You got yourself a $2500 card for $25,900. Only $10 in eBay bucks though.
I wonder if you bought a box of his used golf balls or a book that he would combine shipping.
Years ago, ebay starting charging FVF's on shipping costs. It's probably been 15 years since they started doing that. They did that specifically for this reason.
Edited to add it was July 6, 2011 when ebay started charging FVF's on shipping costs.

I assume it is a not-too-subtle way of suggesting that his negotiating limit is $24,000. I frankly don't understand the remark about changing the purchase price and shipping price after a BO is negotiated, but I don't play in that pool anyway, so I don't really care.
I don't get it either. I guess it's similar to the car dealers that list their car on craigslist, but the price is actually the down payment. He's just looking for views. I'm certainly not sure how that tempts anyone to purchase the card or the car. For me, I try to make a note and stay away from them in future dealings.

I tried reporting him to ebay but they only have drop down menu & excessive shipping isn't on there.
You would think they would have a comment section..
I tried the same thing. SInce he pays fees on excessive shipping, it really isn't a problem anymore.
