Is this a delamination error, strike through or post mint damage on this Peace Dollar?

I got this yesterday and did not know if it was an error or Post mint damage. The condition is obviously not very good, but I was
wondering if it's worth more than melt value. It weighs 26.5 grams

Aw, very interesting. Dip in some acetone to see if that black is some sort of tar or debris that might come off? Than you can maybe determine the rest? Maybe a lamination?
"Jesus died for you and for me, Thank you,Jesus"!!!
--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line.I've already soaked in acetone and used a q-tip on it as well.
Hmmm? Maybe someone else can chime in? Good Luck. Show us the reverse.

Lamination peel gets my vote.
I can't recall ever seeing a lamination on a Peace Dollar? Pretty cool if that's what it turns out to be. If so, maybe it is worth more than melt?

Planchet impurity, carbon streak that caused a delamination..
Foreign material rolled into the planchet strip.
They are out there. A few years back I won one here from member 1630Boston in one of his drawings. Made a nice addition to my lam/delam. collection.
Ok, Thanks everyone. Back into the scrap pile she goes.
