A couple of months ago I was reading an article online about a new card shop around Minneapolis that had just opened, and the shop looked amazing. Brand new place that had high end unopened, tons of PSA cards displayed, sitting area with TV’s where you can watch sports and open cards. Wanted to see if anyone knows what the name of this shop is in that area. Thank you in advance for the help.

I live in a suburb of the Twin Cities and I am not sure what it could be...I have been collecting since the mid-70s, so pretty in tune with the hobby...did some Googling and nothing umped out at me...hmmm
Hi Kepper19 where do you live?
I live in Minnesota too. I am not aware of anything new.
I'm in Woodbury and I have not heard anything like this.

A place opened up in Oakdale a year or so ago
Rising Stars I believe it's called
I'm near Princeton. There's a good shop called "Pals" in Andover(?) and of course "The Ballpark" in Apple Valley

Thank you for the replies on this one. Checked and none of them matched the photos I saw on this one, brand new shop with amazing inventory, displays, flat screens....
This must be something you dreamed about after a few too many shots of blue label lol
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
Sounds like an awesome place, if you figure out where it is let me know and I’ll meet you there.

Problem is I don’t drink so that can’t be it 🤣

Could it be Absolute Sports Cards in Savage? I've only been in there once and it kinda sounds like what you are describing.
Collecting: Topps 1952-79, Bowman 1952-55, OPC 1965-71, and Pre-War White Sox cards
Three Stars in Bloomington? Not too new, but solid.
Guess I have to do everything myself on this one. 🤣
Shop is called Real Sportscards in Champlin, and photos above look amazing as you can see. This is someone who did a card shop right with modern fixtures and clean. Not the typical dirty crowded shop we usually see.

Looks great. Thank you!
I will be checking it out.
Very slick looking shop. Looks like you won't find any buried treasures there. Sometimes those old unorganized shops are a good hunting ground for buried treasure.
That place does look sweet Kendallcat! Let me know when you’re going to go and I’ll meet you

Being it is in MN I will first need to see if they allow concealed carry/reciprocity with other states. With all of the stuff going on up there I am not going there “naked” 😉
Oh no worries I’m a former Army Captain and this place is out in the suburbs, we will be just fine. 😀

It looks like a nice place. I grew up in Miami so as we like to say “better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.” 😄
Sorry, but I laughed at the idea of needing to be strapped in Champlain, being from Woodbury.
They could have a sign on the door saying no guns but can't believe it would ever be an issue.
Place looks cool. Have to check it out.

I totally get it. As a professional shooter and instructor for over 30 years. ...it still amazes me how many people carry and not know how to use one.
...but Miami is very different than Minnesota. I was in Miami at the shooting range that was run by the state and had retired police guys running it. This was maybe 15-20 years ago. It was next to the Mikasuki(sp?) casino. Long since closed. This guy wanted 50 bucks so he found me in the parking lot and said, "give me $50 or I'll have my buddies pull you over at the end of the driveway and rough you up." When he found out I was strapped he walked off but I wonder how bad that could have been had he felt any bolder.

Most Florida ranges are run by ex police. My dad moved out of Miami up to Venice, and used to instruct at the outdoor range there. We always blew out a little brass when I would visit. Great place to visit is Battlefield Vegas if you are ever in LV. Run by ex military and I got to put some rounds through an M1, MP-5, Uzi, and AK-47 all in full auto mode. Can be $$ when you fire 25-40 rounds of 7.62 ammo in less than 5 seconds 😄
Just outside of Vegas, I did watch someone shoot the 50 cal machine gun, tripod mounted, and it looked fun but I always wondered where the bullets went as they bounced downrange and over the 30 foot berm and into the mountains in the background. We just shot sporting clays, fun outing while at the shot show.
