Finally an itch well scratched (a newp, after a long dry spell)

I finally was able to buy a coin, thanks to @Nap for bringing this to my attention yesterday. With the exchange rate, I will end up paying more than I wanted, but less than I was willing to pay. Now for the waiting game -- to get a shipping quote, pay the full invoice, wait for the export license to be approved, etc.

Anglo-Saxon Coins - Eclectic Series - Type 9 Variant - Monita Scorum Sceatta

710-760 AD

Series T related. Obv: profile bust right with MONITA SCORVM legend. Rev: 'porcupine' or quilled crescent left. 1.07 grams. Near as struck. Very rare.

Found near Oundle [EMC 2020.0311].

    The common types are not expensive, even in US 58-63 grades. At least not compared to the nice material I see you post.
