Tell me what I am missing - 1982D 3.19grams appears to be small date

Please explain what my amateur eyes are missing - surely I didn’t find a copper 1982 D small date Lincoln penny?

  • That is a large date 2 without a doubt. The bottom half of the small date 2 is convex, not concaved like the large date.

    Absolutely. As a collector and research of National Bank Notes for over 40 years, I would be happy to help you with any NBN. A 1982 penny? Well, to me, I could care less and would just throw it in the change tray at the local convenience store.
