Hmmmm. White Lake? I live about 45 minutes from White Lake. Spent a lot of time there as a kid. The lake was created by a meteor. It has crystal clear water and you can see the bottom even at its deepest point. All of the water in the lake comes from underground. There are no rivers or creeks entering or leaving the lake. I know, TMI. LOL.

Did they have some kind of gift store or snack bar where a souvenir like this might have been sold?
The lake I grew up around is full of muck and assorted gunk.
If you believe the internet, this is a beautiful lake with resorts and small towns. Generally these would be sold in a gift shop or visitor attraction.

Yes, there was a gift store. I wouldn't be surprised if it's still there.
