Question on "older" base ball cards

I have boxes of base ball cards from the late 70's and early 80's. Would these cards have any value or are they just kindling for my fire place?

CONDITION IS EVERYTHING
IF THEY ARE NOT IN NM CONDITION, THEY ARE NOT WORTH THAT MUCH.
IF THEY ARE IN NM OR BETTER CONDITION THEY ARE WORTH KEEPING OR TRADING OR EVEN SELLING.
ALOT OF PEOPLE ARE LOOKING FOR CARDS IN THE 1970'S TO COMPLETE SETS. IN THE 1980'S THE STARS AND ROOKIES ARE WHAT MOST PEOPLE WANT.

LMK WHAT CONDITION THE CARDS ARE IN AND HOW MANY YOU HAVE
AND DO YOU HAVE SOME STARS OR ROOKIES ???

I dunno...you may have some nice cards,,,,,dont throw them away though...send em to me

The condition, I don't know how to grade sports cards. If they were coins, I would grade most of them as VF-XF or better.

Stars or rookies, no clue. I would have to look through them to see what's there. I'm not even sure how many there are. I have several of those white cardboard boxes for sports cards full of them. Haven't looked at them in years, so I'm not sure what is there. I do know that I have several "pictures" issued by Topps of the Yankees and Mets. Probably from the early 80's. Other than that, I'm not sure.
