A questions that has more or less been discussed before

I was bidding on an auction the other day and I knew what it would take to be a winning bidder.

I was tempted to hit the button and then it struck me that heck It's just one more coin that I would probably have to sell over the next decade or so. My thought was that I would just be adding to an unwieldly inventory and I didn't need the hassle of adding any additional purchases.. Perhaps if the item meant a bit more to me I would have raised my bid?

I started wondering whether was it just age catching up to me? Nah....today, I feel like I can outlive the coins.

Sometimes I feel like that too, but usually right after I bid and I end up hoping someone will outbid me for the reasons you mentioned

“If the item meant a bit more to me “ may be your answer.

I've never been in a coin auction, but it sounds kinda fun.

LOL. That happens to me a LOT. I bid on just about everything, and then I wonder why.
