Question regarding Reholder Special going on until 12/31/2020

Does anyone know if coins sent in during the Gold shield and TV reholder special will be regraded or just put into a holder with the same grade? I have several coins that are in holders that pre-date plus grades. I have considered sending them in and this promotion sounds interesting if they will be regraded at the same time.

I had just read through the various options. I also have not submitted in a long time so don't take my opinion as fact.

I do not think they will regrade on a reholder. Those are two different service options.

if you want the higher grade or plus with no downgrade, you need to submit under 'reconsideration' and cert numbers will be changed.

It's unfortunate that the original, vintage info tags (Doily and Old Green Labels) and gaskets wont be reused in the new holders.

It might please the collector but it just generates a PITA/nuisance for PCGS that they don't need.

Number changes on regrade but not on recon.
Number also changes on conservation.
