I started mine-- a complete date set in 1975. / 45years _still 2 coins short of an UNC set both AU58's
Forget grades just getting any uncleaned unc grade, in some dates it is very difficult and long waits of looking(years)
Ungrade as they come along. You may have to settle for nice circ graded coins for some key dates.
Unless you are young and have very deep pockets
. I would guess based on my years collecting this set and knowing many collectors and dealers with these coins I would say maybe only two or three complete sets (145 coins + 35 proofs) in an average MS 65 or above. Have ever been assembled. All taking decades .

I agree. Never say never. I never thought I would get close to completing the series with varieties. I don't have deep pockets but the patience is paying off. Not gonna get close to the top collectors but just trying to complete the set. That is the only goal. In just a few years, almost done. Almost. I love your 6th Army collection, btw. Thank you for sharing those. I know the AU58s that you have. I could help with those if I disassemble mine. :-P

It seems like the Rover Affiliate service is mangling your link and dropping me to the homepage. It might only work for item URLs.
The forum software rewrites it to the following:

1903's are both AU58 with one having some attractive color and one is blast white:
1908 in MS state:
