Sumitting to CAC

Do I need to send in coins to CAC through a dealer or someone that is already a member, or can I make my own account and send it in without having to wait several months.

You can check their web site to see if they are still accepting collector memberships. If they are, you send them an email and they will return a form to fill out which includes references from established dealers essentially). My guess is to reduce the likelihood of people wasting their time with submissions they won’t accept.

Otherwise, yes, you can work with an existing dealer or member and make arrangements to submit through them.

1) Best way is to have your own account with them. They are usually "closed to new accounts" but have a signup. Do that and it sometimes is pretty quick to open up and they contact you.

2) In lieu of the above, 2nd best way is to have a friend or someone you know that has submission privileges and is willing to workw tih you.

3) Dealers would work, but would be last choice in my mind...largely because none of mine around me seem to be members/submit or care enough to do it for people. I've heard of some that do and things seem to have been fine, but I like empowering myself and not being reliant on a dealer.

I applied and was approved a couple of months ago. I'm expecting my welcome kit next week.

This, in addition as a collector submitter you do not pay the $15 fee for coins CAC does not sticker where a dealer pays sticker or not.

Apply but it might take a couple months to get approved. Be patient.

Use gobs of the strongest tape you can find, football size for each slab, they LOVE that.

Find someone to submit for you. I tried to help a few others submit to cac forwarding invoices when I had a dealer account. Now I have a collector account and usually send in only my own coins, and only pay for coins that cac. "Summitting" = Everest or other smaller mountains. "Submitting" usually refers to an authority.
