Because there is a line of buyers buying up each and every pack at each and every price a billionth of a nanosecond after the distributor places any pack on any shelf in any store.

because there are several cards you can land outta there that are $50k+ cards. a few $100k+ cards peppered throughout the run too. hit a key rc nebula and you could have a quarter million bucks instantly or perhaps a million in a few years.

There is more than enough demand to support those prices in the market place. Try looking at vintage. A 1983 Topps baseball wax box that routinely sold for $350 a year ago is now approaching 1K. The hobby is white hot right now.

Long as people will pay the high prices, there will always be a willing seller.

Probably just an aberration but I tried putting up for sale one of my1984 Donruss Wax Box FASC for what the market was commanding two months ago and there has been zero interest.

Absolutely true, as a matter of fact, Rob Kardashian pulled a Tom Brady Nebula recently. I can't post the video here due to the extreme language, but here is the link to the website that shows the pull as it happened. The card is estimated to be valued at $250,000 I do believe.

Those boxes have gone from 250 to 1250 in about a year, though, which is pretty amazing in itself.

Agree there is has a slight price settling on some of the late 70‘s - early 80’s - but to be expected after yet another major run up.

Dan - just got back from Steve my last 78 cello box - It’s now all nicely BBCE wrapped. If I ever sell it you will get first dibs. :). How are you doing with those 78’s you bought?

i am finding that box condition seems to be getting more important. fasc simply by itself doesnt cut it anymore.

similar to how centering started to take more of a precipice. been letting some sealed wax go lately. i always include at least 7 pics, 1 of each side and then a close up of label details. ive been getting more and more requests of better close ups, even though the pics supplied coupled w ebays magnifier is more than effiecient.

    Very Cool my friend! Thx!
Graders were pretty harsh on me but I did see PSA 9’s on Schmidt, Rose, Dawson, Seaver, and a handful of commons. I graded just the very best. A lot of 9 candidates went into my high grade raw set which is where I saw the most material to upgrade! Awesome stuff and so much fun. I’m all done sifting through the Topps material. Next on the to do list is a OPC raw set which I should probably be able to nail most of the set out of the cards in our deal. Those I won’t be as critical on centering for obvious reasons lol! Thanks again Steve!!!

FASC was in the 500 range a year to 18 months ago but I'm splitting hairs here. Your premise is correct, yes a gigantic jump for the issue regardless of this recent softening.
