Is this a 1 Escudo Gold Cob?

It weighs near 3.3g and roughly half gold, 1/3 copper, 1/6 silver. I will try to get better picks when in hand.

    I did not even noticed the composition... cannot read it well, but if 50%, with that design, I think is not.

    Is it a cast can you tell by the sides or is it original

    Agreed. Colombian gold cobs should be 0.917 fine. The coin is probably a cast counterfeit.

    Here are my pics - the edge almost looks like a seam, possibly 2 thin layers over something
