T206 Wagner Question

ESPN has an article on the sale of a Wagner. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/30245718/honus-wagner-rookie-card-sells-record-14-million It calls it a rookie, but it isn't, is it? What is Wagner's rookie?

    Not even close to what would be considered his rookie. Depending on what you believe a rookie should be, you have either E107, W600, national copper plate, M101-1, and Henry Reccius all of which predate the T206. After that you could even get into arguments over E92, E95, E102, etc that have historically been considered 1909 releases.
