Almost all 1998 business strike cents are close AM. The ones to look for are:
-1998 Wide AM business strike (regular proof die was used for business strikes)
-1998-S Close AM proof (regular business strike die was used for proofs)
-1999 Wide AM business strike (regular proof die was used for business strikes)
-1999-S Close AM proof (regular business strike die was used for proofs)
-2000 Wide AM business strike (regular proof die was used for business strikes)
The description is for a proof coin.
Your coin is not a proof.
What would you clean the coin with?
What kind of soup would you use? Chicken noodle?![:D :D](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/lol.png)
You may want to eat the soup while your are reading a little more about coins.![;) ;)](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)

Found this going through change.
Listed on eBay and it went for a fair price for an AU coin. Kind of ugly but these are cool varieties.
I'll give a grand for a decent '92-D close AM.
Q. When is the right time to clean your coins?
A. Never.
In a relative few situations experts can clean a coin to remove harmful contaminants. But a new or newer collector should never clean coins.
