The rub and scratches are not on the coin, but on the holder, especially the reverse.

Please do NOT mix up this listing with my similar listing for my 1868 Two Cent MS65+RB, also PCGS w/CAC listed separately on this BS&T. Thanks.

This coin is lovely. I am a collector, and not a dealer, but some may argue that point since I am offering this coin for sale to a wide audience.

I recently upgraded this coin in my Registry Two Cent Classic Set, Circulation Strikes, currently ranked #5 (D.L. Hansen has two of the four sets ranked ahead of mine, but NONE of those four higher ranked sets is 100% CAC like mine).

  1. There have been 123 of these graded MS65RB (69 by PCGS and 54 by NGC). Out of 123 in this grade, only 36 merit the coveted CAC sticker. At this price point, you'd figure almost all were sent to CAC. For those without a CAC, you should ask yourself why it doesn't have one?
  2. If you don't like mine, currently on collectorscorner.com there are three for sale, Two are withOUT a CAC - Coast Coin at $1,295, and DLRC at $1,400 or "Make an Offer". There is one offered in this grade with a CAC, and that is listed by Sarasota Coins at $1,275. All three are listed on eBay (as is mine), but at higher pricing. Why buy one without a CAC, when for less money you can own one with a CAC?
  3. The PCGS Price Guide is $1,550.
  4. The CAC CDN price guide has those graded as MS65RB with a CAC at $1,500,

My price is only $1,195 via regular PayPal (no PP Gift Payments) and includes FREE USPS First Class Mail. Due to the value, a signature will be required.
If you want one graded by PCGS as MS66RB with a CAC, expect to pay a lot more. As noted, I just upgraded this in my Registry Set, and I paid $3,840, which I think is a very fair price for that new coin. As such, this MS65RB represents a tremendous value.

Please look at my 1828 Coronet/Matron Large Cent MS65BN graded by PCGS with a CAC, my 1868 Two Cent Piece graded MS65+RB graded by PCGS with a CAC, my 1854 Liberty Seated HALF Dime graded MS65 by PCGS with a CAC, and also my high grade 1911 Proof Barber Quarter PR67CAM graded by PCGS, with a CAC. All four are listed nearby on the BS&T.

Terms: Full 7-day return privilege from when you receive the coin. In the unlikely event you are unhappy, all returns must use a label that requires my signature upon redelivery to me.

I will only ship to a person in the U.S. with a U.S. mailing address. I will email you the tracking number. We will provide each other with a valid email address.

Please message ANY questions. Thank you. Steve

As noted at the very top, the rub and scratches are not on the coin, but on the holder, especially the reverse.
