Welcome! What you are describing are varieties as opposed to errors. Two completely different avenues to collect.

Ed, If you don’t already own them, you should purchase the Cherry Pickers guides (2) and familiarize yourself with them. They can be had on Amazon. Varieties are a great aspect of Numismatics. Good luck!
