When you say "slab" they think you're talking about meat.

“I believe in intuitions and inspirations. I sometimes feel that I am right. I do not know that I am. When two expeditions of scientists, financed by the Royal Academy, went forth to test my theory of relativity, I was convinced that their conclusions would tally with my hypothesis. I was not surprised when the eclipse of May 29, 1919, confirmed my intuitions. I would have been surprised if I had been wrong.”

“Then you trust more to your imagination than to your knowledge?”

“I am enough of the artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.”

Albert Einstein- quoted in Saturday Evening Post interview (1929)

That the Five ounce silver ATB coins are one quarter.

This is actually true. The coin says "QUARTER DOLLAR".

Cool. I'll trade a territorial quarter for one of them ATB five ounce quarters. It would help my financial situation. It's just a quarter.

Tribute gold buffalo's are made from gold, because they advertise them as gold and make references to the real ones in their adds. They are clad coins with 14 mg of gold, which isn't much.

That any coin that has been defaced or damaged after the Mint is a rare and valuable coin, and not simply PMD.

That collecting modern proof sets over the years is a coin collection worth lots of money.

A former boss of mine about 10 years older than me was one. He knew I collected and had a date run of a few dozen post 1967 sets in a SDB. When he found out how little it was worth and how much he paid to store it, he wasn't happy. This was around 2000.

That Mike Mezack/Rick Tomaska/et al are selling truly rare coins that will become a great investment. Why put money intended for your grandchildrens education in a state approved 529 college fund when you can buy ultra rarities from the Coin Vault that surely will be worth much more.

The scarcer a coin is, the more valuable it is.
