It is not only common, but that is how it is supposed to be
Yes it's common.
The top of Lincoln's head should be directly opposite the bottom of the wheat stalks on the rev.
Putting a photo online won't make much of a difference as you can't see both sides at once. One one side is the top of Lincoln's head and on the other side the words "One Cent" are upside down.
