quick poll and curious minds what to know

So, now with the minimum cost of $50/card {to get your cards back in a reasonable amount of time}, My question is:

At what price point does it make sense to grade? 100, 200, 500, etc?
ie. If you have 1975 brett, that looks NM; is it worth it; if you get less than 7 you may not even break even.

I have to much S**t; so if you working on sets or are a player/team collector, send me your want list, with conditions desired. Keep in mind I have a another job so please allow me a few days to respond.

I would say just wait. Save up a bunch of cards to get graded, then send them in at the $20 fee when they resume. What's the rush? A card like Brett won't be losing value while you wait. Or sell it raw and make the buyer wait.

Express is a good choice, but that's $75, plus the $25 it will cost you to ship it there insured, + the $29 they will charge you to ship it back. That would need a minimum of a $300 card to be worth it depending on what it cost you. Then you'll lose 10% on ebay fees and paypal fees, as well as buyers may shy back on bidding a little higher because they will have to add an average of 7% tax.

Come to think of it, it just makes sense for me to sell all my cards (except the 1948 Leaf I actually collect to keep) and just buy their CLCT stock instead. That's the better chance of making money, just nowhere near as fun.

You kind of have a couple of things going on here. Are you selling for a big profit? Then it depends on what you want to get after grading costs. It costs 5X as much to get the cards back faster. Of course it also depends on the value of the card. I am assuming you are talking about cards with a value of $499.00 or less?

If you need your cards back fast, regular service, your card better be worth at least $50.00 in a 9. You are probably not going to get a 10. However, if you get 8's you are going to get destroyed.

A 1975 Brett that looks like a 7. It is worth $175.00 if it gets the 7 and $100.00 (or less) if it gets a 6. You no longer need to send in 100 cards, so send it in under the value service level and be patient.

I sent in a few orders in early July; used economy level and one big (171 cards) order under value. The economy are for my personal collection, hoping for upgrades and filling a few empty slots.

On the value submission, I targeted cards that looked like 10's but didn't submit anything that wouldn't sell for less than $30.00 or so in a 9. I went through the cards several times and had a buddy look them over as well. I shouldn't get too many 8's, but we shall see.

I'm not a big seller, just had several thousand cards laying around and decided to clean out the closet. Cards were carefully stored, so little or no wear, but centering was bad and print dots were plentiful.

Edited to add; Value submission still in research and id, a couple of the economy subs are in assembly.

I would send it in under a group submission on FB and wait for it to come back. What's the difference if you wait 4 or 5 months for a deal from PSA or wait for it to get graded? Here are two options for you? 25.00 or 11.00?

This one I have used on 99% PSA Graded Baseball Cards and Memorabilia is great! The guy who runs it is very thorough and on top of it! Doesn't disappear for days on end and answers all questions. The only downside is you should join the message thread to follow the submission and that can get "juvenile" at times but mostly you get to see a lot of great cards that are being subbed to help pass the day! The days of getting our subs back fast are over and probably never coming back so if this is the hill we want to play on we just have to be patient...

All right everyone that time of the month for a new PSA submission. This will be our 38th group bulk submission, our 11th 20 day, and 4th 5 day group submission!!!
The fee for each card in bulk will be
    1971-earlier $10
    1972-2016 $11
    2017- current $15
    20 day - $25
    5 day $75
This will include the cost of grading, shipping to PSA, and return shipping from PSA. You are still responsible for your shipping to us for submission and cost of shipping back to you after submission. You choose how you want it shipped back to you and insurance if wanted.
We are now offering a 20 day submission (up to $499 for $25 per card) and 5 day submission (up to $2499 for $75 per card) You can include this with your bulk submission package. This will be shipped at the end of the month with the bulk submission.
Please have your cards shipped to us by October 28th so we can get out timely.
