Hello I have a few questions about this.
1. What is the difference between the low series vs the high series.
2. I ordered a box from Dave and adam's are they legitimate even tho I don't think there box is bbce they still ok to buy from?
3. When Inwas growing up I thought I heard of a different 89 upper deck griffey card not sure if it was he had a purple hat on or the card was just bigger anyone got a any info thanks.

High series has the full set worth of cards possible so your chances of griffey get diluted a bit more.
Low series is more valuable because of that fact. Both series contain griffey chances though.
Thank you
Dave & Adam's is legit. 1989 UD came factory sealed so if D&A says it's unopened, it's unopened.
High series has a proportionately higher ratio of high numbers than low numbers in the boxes I’ve opened. If I were looking for a Griffey I’d go low numbers if I could.
thank you thank you so much for your help.
i opened a few packs of high numbers. i mostly averaged five low number cards per pack the rest high numbers. i got a randy johnson rookie in the high number pack he was the best rookie i pulled.
89 UD low series wax boxes were not factory sealed.

My cousin had bad luck back in the day he was at a card shop buying packs of 89 upper deck after 10 packs nothing a kid comes in buys one pack and got the griffey.
Back in the day, 89-90, the boxes came unsealed and were easy to search. I wonder how
many Frankenstein boxes have been sold as original. Unless the box is certified as FASC,
I would be hesitant.
Thanks for the correction.
@Tibor thanks I might cancel the order then.
I'm no expert. You should rely on the knowledge and honesty of the dealer. I just posted my experiences from that point in time. Most on the forum here buy from BBCE. Are you going to save it for long term or are you going open it? Either way buy FASC box to protect your self.
1989 Bowman were larger than standard cards and had a Griffey rookie.
@Tibor thanks I was going to keep them for some time. I might cancel it bc if something were to happen and I had to sale it I would want the buyer to know that the packs were never looked at.
I have a different box from David adams and they had it shrink wrapped with their biz card under the wrap. Don't know if they do that for all boxes though.
collation for 89 upper deck was pretty sporadic as i recall. i never pulled a griffey, but a friends father pulled 3 from one pack at a card show back then i remember.
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
@coinspacks thanks I'll email them and see what they say.
