I used to be a member but stepped away about a year ago.
Considering stepping back in as a Gold member but I wanted to check with the Forum knowledge base -
Is VP still Relevant? Still Current? and Still Accurate? .... Still effective in assessing current prices of on-going card sales?
Is there anything better to align with?
Thanks for your thoughts!

Prices have been so volatile. Think you’re better served to look at eBay complete and sort by date.

I don't feel like they have ever been very accurate.

I guess it depends what features you're looking for. If you used the collection tracking features or wanted to get pricing for complete sets in a certain grade, I guess it could still be worth it. If you're just looking for recent sales of specific cards, I like this free option that covers modern stuff also: https://www.psacard.com/auctionprices
Thanks for the perspective...
Interest lies in recent sales of specific cards. Not doing sets anymore....

Does PSA auction prices capture EBAY as well as the auction houses?

Yes, APR captures eBay also, though I think both APR and VCP are not capturing Best Offer correctly. It gets shown as sold at the full BIN rather than the BO amount accepted due to an eBay bug/feature.
I cancelled my VCP subscription about a year ago after they took away some of the features I used at the price tier I was willing to pay. PSA's "Auction Prices Realized" tool has filled in relatively adequately, although the user interface could be improved drastically with a few simple changes. I have found that the VCP site has much more historical data than the PSA site, and if you buy SGC and/or BGS cards, you can't get that information easily anywhere but VCP. I've been able to get by without VCP, but my collecting life was easier (just more expensive) when I subscribed.
I like VCP. I wish the photos were larger like they used to be though. Otherwise, it really has helped me do research and help me make informed buying decisions.
The thing I like most about VCP is you can go back many years and look up cert. #'s. Sometimes when I am looking to buy a card and will search VCP for better images. I am amazed at all the the poor quality images that some sellers use. Also I like look up card characteristics (centering/print flaws etc..) to compare to a card that I am interested in.
I have been disappointed with some of the changes. It seems like they are not as current with Ebay sales as they used to be.
